PROGRESS - FEBRUARY 2018


At the Beginning of February we purchased a 40 foot Shipping Container to store most of our belongings in until we had finished Renovations at the Garage.




Waitangi Day in New Zealand. (06/02/2018)
Public Holiday in New Zealand so we started packing!The First boxes were packed and put in the Container along with some Boxes from Brian's Office.

# Husband has Gone on Holiday for 17 Days

DAY 1 Thursday

I Ordered a 6 cubic metre Bin!
Arrives for the weekend!

Also put in an online inquiry to buy Packing Boxes.

Cleaned out the upstairs Deep Freeze

Cleaned out the Oil, Vinegar & odd Potions Cupboard

DAY 2 Friday

Ordered Boxes to be delivered for Packing

Sorted out stuff in the Spare room - 2 bags to throw out plus a small old bookcase

DAY 3 Saturday

Bin Arrived first thing

Unfortunately it was raining but there was so much to throw out!

I am very happy with progress.

The old Dining Room Table went Bora & All to a delightful English lady.

I managed to fill the Bin to about halfway!

Fragile Ornaments from the Lounge were all now safely boxed.



DAY 4 Sunday

Another Outdoor Table went on Trade Me.

20 + Storage CUBES sorted and contents 90% Binned



DAY 5 Monday

Day resting as I have overdone things the last few days!

I have ordered a Confidential Bin for Shredding.

DAY 6 Tuesday

The Bin was still here so I managed to cram more in!

Went through all my old Midwifery Files and put them in a Confidential Bin to be Shredded!

So many Beautiful Women have invited me into their lives to share their Journeys.

I had worked for 7 years as an Independent Midwife.

So many special memories.

DAY 7 Wednesday

Packed a few more boxes and gathered some bits for the Op Shop

DAY 8 Thursday

Ordered another Bin for the weekend.

Actually a 4 day hire.

DAY 9 Friday

Long day at work .

Came home exhausted!

Recovery from Rotator Cuff Surgery is worse than I ever could have imagined!

DAY 10 Saturday

07:30 the second Bin arrived!

Only 4 cubic metres this time!

Repacked heaps of boxes from the garage to be stored in the Shipping Container.

Gave a few Kitchen things to my Daughter Victoria.



DAY 11 Sunday

Harrison, our son,  came around to help and we made amazing progress!

He so strong!

Deconstructed a Table, Chest of drawers & even a Filing Cabinet!

The bin is now almost full!

Harrison also but some boxes into the Container for me.

Boxes of Porcelain Dolls from my Mother in Law and Boxes of Lego & Playmobile.




Day 17 Saturday

Brian home! Finally!
